    Head Director - Allie Hudak

    Allie Hudak is a committed dance educator and choreographer. Allie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance with a minor in Secondary Education from Texas Christian University (2007), a Master of Educational Policies and Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington (2014) and she is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Policies and Leadership with Superintendent Certification from Texas A&M Commerce. 

    After graduating from TCU, Allie taught modern dance and hip-hop for non-majors at TCU as an adjunct faculty member, was the inaugural director of the Colleyville Middle School Stars Dance Team and the artistic director for a local dance studio.  In 2008 Allie became the dance director at Birdville High School.  She has led the varsity dance team to four national titles, coached a team through the USASF Dance Worlds to a spot in the finals, and founded a junior varsity team and a hip-hop crew. In addition, Allie has built the fine arts dance program to double in size, as well as success with straight ones at the Dance Educators Assessment of Learning. 

     In striving for excellence in dance education, Allie reaches out beyond her own program. Allie has worked for Marching Auxiliaries Dance as a teacher, choreographer and clinic director. She has judged for the Iowa State Dance and Drill competition. Allie serves on Birdville ISD’s Teaming for Excellence in Education Committee, working to establish and review the district-wide educational goals, objectives, and instructional programs. She actively participates in the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA). Allie chaired the registration committee for the 2017 TDEA state convention and was selected as the recording secretary for the TDEA Executive Board.

    Assistant Director - Katie Perdue

    Katie Perdue began her drill team career as a member of the Coppell High School Lariette Drill Team.  Katie attended the University of Texas where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Studies as apart of the inaugural cohort of the newly founded Dance Studies program.  While at UT, Katie was a co-directer and choreographer for the Roustabouts Dance Company.  She was a finale performer at the American College Dance Festival and choreographed for the European Tanzommer touring performance group.

    She was a performer in the 2015 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and continues to choreograph for groups such as the Kilgore College Rangerettes and the WNBA Wings' Flight Crew. Katie is a staff member for Marching Auxiliaries Dance where she teaches summer camps and works contests nation wide. She actively participates in the Texas Dance Educators Association (TDEA). Katie was a member of the registration committee for the 2017 TDEA state convention. Katie assisted coaching a team through the USASF Dance Worlds to a spot in the finals. In addition, Katie helps the continued success of the Birdville Dance Department with straight ones at the Dance Educators Assessment of Learning.
