Birdville High school's journey into the Army JROTC program beagan in 2000-2001 as a cross enrollment institution with  Richland High School. In July of 2001 Birdville High School became a National Defense Cadet Corps.  The same month in 2002 Birdville High School became a full fledged JROTC program.  We are a DHU (Distinguished Honor Unit) with a multitude of accomplishments that range from award winning Rifle team, Color Guard team, and Physical Fitness team to our nationally placing JLAB Leadership and Academic teams.
