TCC College Access For Seniors

  • The Birdville ISD Scholarship pays tuition costs for up to 15 credit hours at in-county tuition rates for qualified students who have graduated from a Birdville ISD High School.  Listed below are some helpful attachments, links and information about the ÒÀÒÀÉçÇø foundation scholarship for TCC:

  • Senior Checklist for TCC

     

    • 1. Fill out the TCC Interest Card

    • 2. Apply for Admission

      • Complete and submit an application for admission at (allow 30 minutes)

        • Be sure to list your high school.

        • Be sure to include your full social security number. (this matches your FAFSA record to your TCC student record) Only undocumented students are not required to provide a complete social security number.

        • If you previously submitted your application without a social security number, please bring your social security card and photo ID to the Admissions and Registrar’s office at TCC.

      • Check your email for your myTCC email address, Student ID, and WebAdvisor login information

      • Typically, you will receive 4 separate emails from TCC with the confirmation. The 4th email will have your TCC ID# and instructions on how to set up your WebAdvisor and TCC email.

      • The 4th email usually comes days after the first 3.

    ***Be sure to list Richland High School (sometimes called Richland Senior High School) as your high school. This is how TCC knows to apply to ÒÀÒÀÉçÇø/TCC Scholarship to your account.***  

    • 3. Set up TCC

      • Instructions will be in your email.

    • 4. Watch the Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) in WebAdvisor
      • Log in to WebAdvisor

      • Click on Students

      • Select the Pre-Assessment Activity link, located under the Prepare to Register heading

    • 5. Complete Financial Aid

      • Complete and submit the FAFSA or TASFA (TASFA is for students without a Social Security number)

      • FAFSA or TASFA application must be completed and received by TCC by the first day of TCC classes

      • Create studentaid.gov account (for FAFSA)

      • The FAFSA application opens on October 1st of your senior year (For 2024 seniors, it is opening on December 1st)

      • In May (for the fall) or October (for the spring), log in to your WebAdvisor account and check to see that your FAFSA/TASFA application was received by TCC

        • Look under Financial Aid Services and choose the first link “Self-Service Financial Aid” - the login will match your WebAdvisor login.

      • If you are not able to confirm this information contact the TCC Foundation at 817-515-5277 before June 1st (for the fall) or November 1st (for the spring). This will give you time to take any corrective actions, provide missing information, or to complete the verification process required for your FAFSA/TASFA application to be considered completed by the deadline.

        • Request transcripts through Parchment.

        • The first 3 transcripts are free of charge. Additional transcripts are $3 per transcript
